BMW vehicle armoring projects most often involve the 7 Series and 5 Series sedans and the X5 and X7 SUVs. 7 Series armoring is carried out at VR6 and VR8; the long wheelbase allows extra protection for the rear seats.
Door armor steel and aramid layers, bulletproof glass, run-flat tyres and reinforced brakes and suspension are applied; driver-assistance systems and sensors are preserved.
